Nashville, Tenn., April 22, 2009 – Multiple GRAMMY, Stellar and Dove Award winner Israel Houghton will be featured on the Gospel Music Channel (http://www.gospelmusicchannel.com) television network’s newest original series, Revealed, April 25 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The program encores April 26, 27 and 30; check GMC web site for times.

Israel Houghton: Revealed will be the latest major Gospel Music Channel world premiere. The series will feature Houghton performing fan favorites and new hits from his widely acclaimed, top selling album, The Power of One, in front of a live audience in an intimate, acoustic-like setting. In addition to songs like Say So, Just Wanna Say, Moving Forward, Friend of God, Power of One, I Receive, Surely Goodness and Not Forgotten, Houghton also shares personal stories, inspirations, writing experiences and memories behind his music.

Houghton’s The Power Of One launched to the top of the retail charts following its March 24 debut on Integrity Music/Columbia Records and marks his first solo studio offering after a string of highly successful New Breed live concert projects. The album features guest vocals from such genre-leading artists as tobyMac, Martin Smith of Delirious?, Mary Mary and Chevelle Franklyn. From its genre-blending roots reggae and heavy rock to sanctified funk and power pop, the album has become the most widely praised recording ever for Houghton. Critics from Billboard Magazine to The Houston Chronicle to Worship Leader have all raved, calling the album “spectacular,” “creatively expansive, musically unlimited,” “fresh, healing, uplifting, encouraging,” “passionate, youthful energy,” “a visceral rush,” “celebratory,” “genre-defying” and “moving, powerful.”

Gospel Music Channel is the fastest-growing network in television and can be seen in 45 million homes on various cable systems around the country, on DIRECTV on channel 338 and on Verizon FiOS on channel 224.
